Position Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE/INSIDE SALES

Department:                             Sales

Reporting relationships:      Reports to VP of Business Development

FLSA:                                          Non-exempt

Job Summary:  Maximizes sales and customer retention by ensuring timely and complete order management and fulfillment for assigned customers.  Promotes positive customer relations by responding to customer inquiries regarding product orders, shipments, and deliveries with courtesy and professionalism. The candidate for this position will have the potential opportunity to transition into full time sales representative.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Receive sales orders. Accurately input customer orders, pick tickets and releases. Confirm orders, support, and facilitate communications with customers, within the 24 hour expectations for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Communicate to cross functional departments, and third party carrier/warehouse regarding customer order needs following company developed processes and procedures.
  • Promote positive relations with brokers, regional managers and customers to ensure quality customer service and prompt response to all orders received.
  • Actively participate in regular staff meetings. Ensuring accurate market and product information is received and being distributed to all contacts.
  • Gather and expedite all paperwork necessary for customer invoicing.
  • Run SDS and other reports as requested
  • Arrange freight for delivery and product returns
  • Train and mentor new employees
  • Work to increase customer sales by suggesting alternatives to out of stock items, increased volume for better freight rates, new items, etc.
  • Co-ordinate all sample requests
  • Update and distribute price lists as directed
  • Offer “hot sheet” specials to assigned customers
  • Maintain current FSC on freight log
  • Create item set up sheets as requested

 

Secondary Responsibilities, Duties:

  • Willingly perform special projects as directed by VP of Business Development or Regional Managers.
  • May act as back up for other Customer Service Representatives.
  • Prepares bids and quotes from customer inquiries, researching new product requests.
  • Tracks leads.

 

Minimum Requirements

Education:  Associates degree or equivalent experience   

Experience:  Willingness to start as customer service and with the potential opportunity to transition into full time sales.

 

Knowledge and Skills:  Intermediate proficiency in Excel, and Outlook. Requires excellent organizational and communication skills, high level of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment.  Requires professional demeanor for constant interaction with numerous internal and external contacts.  Sales experience in a customer service role is a plus.

 

Working Conditions:  Typical office environment with moderate noise levels. Must be able to meet multiple and competing project deadlines in a fast paced work environment with numerous interruptions in time sensitive situations.  This position may require occasional extended hours due to seasonal business demands.

 

Physical Requirements:  Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation. Requires sitting for extended periods of time performing extensive data entry.  Requires ability to organize numerous tasks and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.

 

 

Position Title:  RETAIL SALES MANAGER

Job Summary:  Under minimal supervision, sells Orca Bay products to supermarket/grocery store chains and major retail warehouses in assigned region.

Essential Functions:

  • Meet & exceed company sales growth and margin objectives by promoting and selling company products (Branded/Private Label & Commodity/Value Added) through grocery/mass merchandise retailers, wholesalers and distributors.  Provides customers with price quotations and information regarding delivery and service.
  • Sells commodity items on a weekly basis through direct customer contacts.
  • Evaluates and identifies “account specific” new product opportunities.
  • Maintains weekly contact with warehouse and distributor buyers.
  • Monitors customer sales and procedures to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develops and manages “account specific” quarterly programs to increase sales in territory and meet profitability objectives; targeting existing accounts and new accounts (thru cold calls)..

Minimum Requirements

Education:  AA degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:  Minimum of one year national retail grocery chain sales experience.  Seafood knowledge a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:  Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Requires excellent time management skills, and written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment.  Requires professional demeanor for constant interaction with numerous internal and external contacts.

Working Conditions:  Typical office environment with moderate noise levels. Work functions require ability to meet multiple and competing project deadlines in a fast paced work environment with numerous interruptions.  This position requires extended hours due to seasonal business demands.  Requires travel to brokers, customers, and food shows on a monthly basis, or more frequently as needed.

Physical Requirements:  Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation.   Requires occasional travel.

Position Title:   WAREHOUSE MANIFESTOR - RENTON Dayshift 6am-4:30pm

Job Summary:  Facilitate inbound product to and from production line.

Essential Functions:

  • Bring product to/from the production line using RF picking system.
  • Using electric pallet jack and stand up forklift.
  • Count orders to determine correct case counts going to production.
  • Note all inventory discrepancies.
  • Manifesting with accuracy all product going to production line.
  • Have sufficient product knowledge to insure accurate inbound for production.

The duties noted above are specific to this position but are not limited to only these functions.  Daily assignments are determined by supervision taking into account the specific workload.

Minimum Requirements

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent. 

Experience:  Minimum two years increasingly responsible warehouse experience.

Knowledge and Skills:  Basic PC and keyboarding skills. Requires excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and supervise staff in a fast paced work environment.  Requires professional demeanor for constant interaction with numerous internal and external contacts. 

Working Conditions:  Typical warehouse environment with some exposure to outside weather conditions. Position involves exposure to freezing, non-weather conditions in product cold storage.  Must be able to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast paced work environment with numerous interruptions.  This position requires frequent extended hours due to seasonal business demands.

Physical Requirements:  Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation. Requires ability to move throughout warehouse and production areas.  Requires ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
