Tom Douglas Restaurants is hosting Salmon-Chanted Evenings at Victor Steinbrueck Park this summer to help Seattle Parks and Recreation create a more welcoming atmosphere for locals and tourists to gather. Orca Bay Seafoods Inc. announces its sponsorship of the event by offering its Coho Salmon to all four events this year: June 11th, July 9th, August 13th and September 10th from 5-7pm.

Tom Douglas has been an integral member of the Seattle food community for more than 20 years. His first restaurant, Dahlia Lounge, opened in 1989, and now there are 12 restaurants all located in or near downtown Seattle. Tom has received numerous recognitions, including the James Beard Award for “Best Chef Northwest” and “Best Americana” for “Tom Douglas’ Seattle Kitchen” cookbook, as well as Restaurateur of the Year by Bon Appetit Magazine. Tom has product lines that include the Rub with Love spice rubs, sauces and snack mix, and the Tom Douglas by Pinzon wares for the kitchen. Tom’s wife and business partner, Jackie Cross, oversees the company farm in Prosser, Washington, which supplies more than 2,400 pounds of produce per week to Tom Douglas Restaurants.
